Prototyping
Laser cutting, is a modern metal processing technology that uses lasers to cut metal into designed shapes. This technology is generally used by a computer numerical control of laser cutting machine. Laser cutting is a technique that uses lasers to cut materials, often for industrial manufacturing applications, but is also starting to be used by schools, small businesses and amateur. The principle of laser cutting is usually through the optical system to guide the output of high-power laser source. A laser optical system and CNC -LRB-computer numerical control are used to guide the material or produce a laser beam. A typical commercial laser used to cut a material involves a motion control system to follow the CNC or G codes of the pattern to be cut into the material. The focused laser beam points at the material, which melts, burns, evaporates, or blown away by the gas jet, leaving a high-quality surface finish edge. Industrial laser cutting machines are used for cutting flat plate materials as well as structural and piping materials.
Laser cutting is the use of focused high-power density laser beam irradiation of the workpiece, so that the irradiated material rapidly melting, vaporization, ablation or to reach the ignition point, and with the aid of high-speed air flow coaxial with the beam blow out the molten material, thus, the workpiece can be cut. Laser cutting is one of the thermal cutting methods.
